The 2018 FIFA world cup wasn’t met with excitement when it was announced that Russia will host it. A lot of the criticism had to do with the racist abuse that has come to be associated with Russian football. People even went ahead to call for a change of venue. However FIFA didn’t change it stance and due that we were rewarded with the best world cup ever.

The tournament had everything football can offer. Technologies were on show, the world best players were there, upsets were caused, teams and players surprised us, and beautiful goals were scored.
