MATCH DAY ELEVEN OF RUSSIA 2018.

Match day ten of the tournament in Russia went by swiftly, and match day eleven is here and raring to go. Match day ten saw Belgium thump Tunisia by 5 goals to 2 to secure qualification. That same match day saw Mexico win against South Korea to progress to the next stage of the competition. Germany scored a late goal to clinch a 2-1 victory over Sweden to keep their world cup dreams alive.

Match day eleven will begin with the fixture between England and Panama. The match day will progress with the match between Japan and Senegal. The Poland-Colombia fixture that will be played in the evening will end the day. Yesterday’s matches lived up to their billing and all my predictions came through. Hopefully we have another exciting day of football.

MATCH DAY ELEVEN: ENGLAND VS PANAMA.

England versus Panama will kick start Match day eleven. The European giants will come up against the small Concacaf nation. The match will be played at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium at 1pm UK time. A win for England will secure them qualification whereas defeat for Panama will end their world cup dreams. Today’s match will be the 1st meeting between the two sides.

England prior to this match have recorded 4 wins and a draw, the last fixture producing a 2-1 win over Tunisia. Panama on the other hand have produced a win, a draw and 3 defeats from that same run. Their last match ended 3 nil in favor of Belgium. England are undefeated in their last 4 world cup matches against Concacaf nations. Concacaf nations have only defeated European sides at the world cup once in their last 10 attempts.

The statistics bode well for England and they have the players to back the statistics. They will be too much for Panama to handle. I see nothing but an England win, one that will secure their qualification to the next round of the competition. Nevertheless I expect a tight game one with not many chances.

MATCH DAY ELEVEN: JAPAN VS SENEGAL.

Mach day eleven will continue with the match between Japan and Senegal. The match will see the African nation come up against their Asian counterpart. The match will be played at the Central Stadium at Yekaterinburg at 4pm UK time. A win for both sides will qualify them to the next stage of the tournament. This match will be the 4th meeting between the two sides with the previous 3being friendlies. Senegal have won 2 and drawn 1 of the past 3 matches.

Japan have generated 2 wins and 3 loses in their past 5 matches, the latest result being the 2-1 win over Colombia. Senegal have also produced 2 wins, 2 defeats and a loss in that run, the 2-1 win over Poland being the latest result. Japan have won 2 of their 3 world cup matches against African opposition. This match though will be the 1st time Senegal has faced an Asian side at the world cup.

Both teams are on a similar level with a lack of plethora of stars at their disposal. Their source of inspiration could be Kagawa for Japan and Mane for Senegal. This match should be a cagey encounter that will lack a lot of chances. Nevertheless a win will be on the table and I see Senegal grabbing it to secure qualification.

MATCH DAY ELEVEN: POLAND VS COLOMBIA.

The Poland-Colombia fixture will end match day eleven. The European nation and the South American side will face-off at the Kazan arena at 7pm UK time. Both sides need a win to keep themselves in the tournament, a draw might be a bad result. This will be the 1st competitive meeting between the two sides after the friendly in 2006, a match Colombia won.

Poland have recorded 2 wins, a draw and 2 defeats in their last 5 matches, the 2-1 defeat to Senegal being the latest result. Colombia on the other hand have produced 2 wins, 2 draws and a defeat in that same run, the latest being the 2-1 loss to Japan. Colombia have lost 5 and drawn 2 of their past 9 matches against European oppositions.
Poland have also won 4 and lost 5 of their last 9 matches against South American nations.

Glik and Rodriguez may return for Poland and Colombia respectively. Both teams will be raring for a win and will expect their star men to champion the cause. The two teams are evenly matched as well so this should make an exciting match for the neutrals. I see Colombia winning this one by a close margin.

RUSSIA 2018 PROCEEDS.

The tournament in Russia will continue until July 15th. It is not going to pause for anyone or because of any reason. A few teams have qualified for the next stage and a couple more will be looking to do the same. I have made my predictions after careful analysis. Comment what you of it in the comment section.
